Doug had a great idea to go on a drive yesterday, so we hopped in the Gladiator and set the GPS for Copernicus Peak. It is a 2 hour drive from our house on Mt. Hamilton, near the Lick Observatory. Here are some of the cool things we saw along the way!
An off-roading/ campground that we want to visit called Frank Raines OHV Park. They have trails we can drive the Jeep on for $5 a day!
Graffiti photo-op spots.
"Dirt Squirrels" that I later found out are actually called California Ground Squirrels. They look like your average squirrel but they live in tunnels underground... so cute!
Valley Quail. They travel in groups and run away instead of fly. Click here to see how beautiful they are!
Spectacular views around every corner.
Nerve racking ledges! There were zero guard rails between you and death.
It was a really great day and we are looking forward to seeing more sights!
Tell me about your recent adventure in the comments below!
When ya'll come to visit, we will have to take a trip out there!
