Country Heat Review

What is Country Heat? It's a 30 day country music dance workout program that requires zero equipment. All you need is 30 min and your body.

Let me start off by saying I have no rhythm.

I learned a little about rhythm when I did spinning class and that's about it. I went into this program just wanting to get up, have some fun and move my body. I hadn't worked out in 3 months following a surgery and had overall gained 10"! I obviously needed to do something! I went in with a positive attitude and told myself, "no, you can't dance, but as long as you are moving you will be fine."and that was totally true!

To start you are given a calendar of what dances to do, on what days because you are not doing the same dance over and over again. The program starts on a Monday... but I starting on a Wednesday. It also gives you Sundays off to rest... but I did not rest. I know, I know, i'm such a rebel. My goal was to start off easy and complete the program in 30 days.

Luckily, each dance has a pre-course to learn the dance moves, and counts. If you pick up on that kind of stuff quickly, you probably don't need the pre-course. Personally, I needed the pre-course. I also followed Julie, the modifier, a lot! She takes all the bouncing out of the workouts.

Once you do the pre- course ( or not ) you are ready for the workout. Autumn will show you the move, then you do it together, show you the move, then do it together, and so on. The moves started off easy and seemed to get more challenging as the weeks went on. Overall, It was very fun and the workouts go by very quickly.

During the first two weeks I did not go on a strict diet at all, I just started logging my food more often and attempting to make better choices. The last two weeks I started using my portion cups more and putting a little more effort into meal planning.

I will be finishing this program tomorrow but went ahead and took my final measurements for this blog. I did not weight myself before I started the program because I am scale shy and my scale doesn't currently have working batteries. So I strictly measured my results based on inches.

Start of the program vs. the end of the program I lost a total of 3.5 inches in 30 days! Yee haw! Only 6.5 more inches to go before I'm back to my goal of my pre-op inches.

The next program I am starting is 21 day fix and I'm super excited!

If you are interested in trying this program or 21 day fix let me know and I will sign you up!
